Authorities confirmed that she was one of two homicide victims that had been discovered Saturday night. The other victim was identified as Victoria “Vicki” Sims, 75. Three days after Salau was reported missing, he was reportedly arrested again for battery. Social media has been flooded with photos and videos of Salau at recent Black Lives Matter protests in Tallahassee, FL, as people have demanded that justice is served when it comes to her death. Danaya Hemphill, a friend of Salau, said, “I had a feeling that we were not going to find Toyin alive. Toyin was very passionate.
