Recently, I published how the literary luminary, clapback maestro and all-round Africa’s national treasure, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is support local African designer through a campaign of Wear Nigeria.

Chimamanda recently sat with Anne McElvoy, senior editor at The Economist for an interview with Porter Magazine (powered by NET-A-PORTER.COM) as part of their summer issue.

In the interview, Adichie comes across as poised, erudite (as always) and speaks on her sometimes polarising brand of feminism, fashion, her relationship with Dior and Nigerian designers. It’s a riveting read and is accompanied by some stunning photos.

I say things that don’t quite fit with the ‘sisterhood’. Some feminists, some friends of mine, get a bit angry with me because of that. I like the idea of a sisterhood, but I don’t elevate it to some universal magical sisterhood
