The 29-year-old Dhowre told Oprah Winfrey in an interview posted on Apple TV+ Sunday morning that she was “not surprised” that she too had gotten infected. I was on my way anyway and I wanted to be with him, I think that’s an instinct as a wife you just want to go and take care. We didn’t change the way we interacted. I could have made a decision to put myself in a separate room or maybe stay away and I’m sure people are making those decisions, they’re tough decisions to make. But I made the decision to want to be with him and still touch him,” she told Oprah. Idris confirmed he had tested positive for the novel virus on March 16th, 2020 via twitter. “This morning I tested positive for COVID-19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic,” he said in the video. Elba says he was tested after he discovered he had been in contact with someone else who had also tested positive for COVID-19. He also urged followers to think about social distancing and washing their hands, adding they should be vigilant to mitigate the spread of the virus. “There are so many people whose lives have been affected, from those who have lost people they love, to people that don’t even have it and have lost their livelihoods,” he said.
