October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, also referred to in America as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October.

Many people around the world of lost loved ones, mostly mothers to breast cancer, and although there are treatments for it there is no absolute cure. In Ghana, many are not so aware of the severity of breast cancer, and neither are there many awareness activities and fundraisers held in its name.

However, one Ghanaian celebrity ensured she placed breast cancer at the forefront of her style throughout the month of October, and that’s the curvaceous Salma Mumin, the actress turned fashion brand owner.

Her contributions to the Ghanaian movie industry have earned her several accolades, including Best International New Actress at the 2014 Papyrus Magazine Screen Actors Awards and Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2019 Ghana Movie Awards.
