South Africa’s media darling Bonang Matheba is calling out people selling fake Amina Muaddi shoes
The transparent slingback pumps are one of fashion’s hottest trends with stars like Kendell Jenner and Rihanna spotted wearing the crystal embellished shoes.

The designer shoes retail for around $705 (R10 357).

Bonang is a big fan of designer heels and once forked out R11 000 for a pair of Guiseppe Zanotti shoes.

“I spend my money on shoes. Have you seen my Instagram? I’m so bad. I’m terrible. I don’t know how many pairs of shoes I have. Maybe 200, 300,” she said in a 2016 documentary.

Naturally, Queen B can spot a fake a mile away
She recently came across an image of a pair of shoes that were labelled as being Amina Muaddi.

The Twitter user who shared the post was simply admiring the heels.

But Queen B noticed that the shoes were fake.

“Been seeing a lot of fake Amina Muaddi shoes. I wonder if they’re aware,” she replied to the post.

One Twitter user told Queen B that many women are well aware they are wearing designer knock-offs.

“Queen B we are fully aware they are fake, we just like nice things Nd Wana look good, fake or not it wears the same… we trying to look hot like you.”

One Twitter user revealed that she bought her ‘Amina Muaddi’ shoes for cheap-cheap.

“Bathong bonang [crying face emojis] I bought them yesterday (R250) Aow re tsene,” the woman wrote.

Another woman added that they had to fake it until they make it.
