Dakar Fashion Week returns for 2016 with a designer call. What we love about Dakar Fashion Week is it will never hold short of professional looking models that bring real great emphasis on the clothes on the runway.

 

Last years Dakar Fashion went under the radar as far as media is concerned, and unfortunately, recovering runway pictures is a mission that should be tasked only to Tom Cruise. Never the less the event still remains a spectacular event for the fashion world, and probably one of the most favoured in Francophone west Africa.

The rich untapped traditional culture of Senegal is what gives the fashion week it’s tremendous beauty, and features many of the well known designers from francophone Africa. The event is headed by Senegalese designer Adama Paris, Fashion designer and founder of FA TV.

The event on a few occasions has been criticized of being bias when it comes to selecting designers and models to showcase, but that could be the direction needed to create the extravagant finish. Hopefully this year the event can prioritize designer images.
