It seems fierce critics of Michael Jackson are begining to eat their words. What they once believed to be a crazy man due to many reasons is now leveling up as one of those reasons is apparently becoming the norm in society.

Which you obviously suspected happens to be his consistency wearing nose masks. Now as we can assume, this was not for any stylish or unique reason, but the same of which we are all adopting today.

According to Jackson’s longtime bodyguard Matt Fiddes, the late musician would tell the world: ‘I told you so,’ as he always feared a virus would spread across the world.

Fiddes reveals Jackson, who died in 2009 at the age of 50, was always concerned about health and hygiene while travelling the world and meeting thousands of fans. ‘He knew that a natural disaster was always there,’ Fiddes told The Sun.

‘He was very aware and would always predict that we could be wiped out at any time. That a germ that could spread.’ It wasn’t unusual to see Jackson walking around and meeting fans wearing a face mask at the height of his fame in the early to mid 90s. But Fiddes, who worked with the singer for a decade, would always joke that Jackson was ‘embarrassing’ him by wearing the masks in public and didn’t want to be photographed together when he wore them.

However, Jackson would tell him: ‘”Matt I can’t get ill, I can’t let my fans down. I’ve got concerts coming up. I’m on this earth for a reason. I mustn’t damage my voice, I’ve got to stay healthy, I don’t know who I’m going to encounter today, I don’t know what I might pass on”.’ Musing futher on what Jackson’s reaction to Covid-19 would be, Fiddes, 41, continued: ‘Then he’d be moaning that no one is listening to him because when he used to say stuff like that people didn’t take him seriously, they used to call him “Wacko Jacko” and all this stuff.
