VIDEOS: Pan Africanist Musician Fuse ODG Skips Traditional Wedding & Marries Wife In A Beautiful White Wedding

Nana Richard Abiona, popularly known as Fuse ODG tied the knot yesterday 10th April 2022 with his girlfriend of 10 years Karen Tino Jonga.

There is usually a gradual build-up with hype when a celebrity is about to tie the knot in Ghana. However, it was a tad bit unusual in this case regarding Fuse ODG. The sudden news about his wedding sprung up in the media about a day or two before his wedding day yesterday.

Fuse is a British-Ghanaian singer and rapper. He is best known for his singles “Antenna” and “Dangerous Love”, and for featuring on Major Lazer’s “Light It Up”.

His wife Karen Tino Jonga is a Zimbabwean, who has been dating the singer for 10 years, Karen Tino Jonga. Karen is a stylist, and fashion and beauty entrepreneur. She co-founded Nana Dolls with Fuse ODG. It is a black doll line for young African girls in Ghana and Africa, launched in 2019 in support of Ghana’s Year of Return campaign.

Fuse ODG who has built his reputation as a conscious artist and a pan Africanist consistently denouncing western culture has made a prominent mark by showcasing this in his music. The artist has even gone as far as making a video burning paintings of Jesus Christ as a way of making a statement about how Africans should follow their own traditions and beliefs as seen here.

These characteristics raise the question of why Fuse ODG did not celebrate his union in African culture with African attire but instead embraced the European concept of a marital union with orchestra music in the process. This is fairly surprising to those who have been induced by his antics. Or could Fuse ODG have a master plan to host his white wedding first and a big traditional wedding as the main event? That would be a great twist but possibly unlikely.

The wedding event was attended by friends and family as well as close celebrities such as Majid Michel and Jacob Freedom Ceaser. His wife Karen wore a beautiful long flowy off shoulder gown, whilst Fuse rocked a white suit. See videos below.
