Angola’s number one designer Soraya De Piedade is set to make her first appearance in Ghana for Accra Fashion Week. The Angolan designer who has held the title as the best designer from the nation is also a two time ‘Designer Of The Year’ at the Golden Globes Awards for both 2015 and 2019.

In Africa, the fashion world is divided amongst three speaking languages, Angolphone, Francophone and then the Portuguese. Soraya De Piedade international popularity extends through mainly the Portuguese speaking nations but has also gained many admirers from other parts of Africa.

The designer was recently announced to participate in West Africa’s largest fashion ceremony, Accra Fashion Week where she will display her latest collection.

However, Soraya is not the only renowned brand to grace the runway this year, she will be joined by a host of mainstream Ghanaian brands such as Clatural, Bri Wireduah, Afre Anko, Akinko Lifestyle, Mish Mega, Clavon Leonard, Kiara Afrik and more.
