In a post made today, 6th April 2020, the designer stated “The work of God will not end because of Corona,take your tithes and offering to church,Do not let the world dictate to you”. The designer continued on with further posts explaining her outcry. The next post stated “No church runs itself with the holy spirit, God gives us this money to give back,why are we complaining ka madi ese a rona.Abuse” Although the she received some backlash in her comments, it seems there are a number of people agreeing with her. The comments were published on her personal page and not her business. Currently at the moment, there has only been 6 COVID-19 cases discovered in Bostwana. However, even beyond the lock down the government is discussing a 6 month State Of Emergency. Also posted by the designer below. Churches, especially in less developed African countries will surely be hit hard by this pandemic. Not only will be not be able to go out and give tithes, but dealing with their own issues they will be less likely to do so. It seems the lock down is definitely not sitting well with churches around the world.
