African fashion is making waves in Dubai, UAE, with prominent Nigerian brands like Ejiro Amos Tafari, Ehi Woman, and more showcasing their unique designs at a high-profile fashion pop-up event. This event not only highlights exquisite clothing but also features a variety of jewelry and accessories, celebrating the rich diversity and creativity of African fashion.

The event drew significant attention, including coverage by Channels TV, which interviewed several designers to get their perspectives on the impact of the Naira’s devaluation and their strategies for adapting to economic changes.

Tola Adegbite, the creative mind behind the luxury fashion brand Turfah, shared her insights on the challenges posed by the devaluation of the Naira. She remarked, “Ever since the devaluation of the Naira, people are spending a lot less or going for less expensive stuff. So, for a luxury brand like mine, it’s essential to explore markets outside of the country to earn dollars.”

Taking a more political stance stating “more than ever Nigerians need to find a way to export that way we even help these challenges with the Naira!”
