Society once thought Micheal Jackson was a bit coocoo when he consistently wore his face mask. However, he had his reasons which he made public then and are coming to light now. On the other hand, there was no deeper meaning when Cardi B wore a head mask dress to Paris Fashion Week, she was simply just being stylishly crazy, however, just like Michael her craziness might become a leading trend in fashion, or atleast from what we are seeing with African style influencers.

The head mask dress (and yes we call it a head mask dress because there really isn’t a public name out there for it more fitting) that Cardi B rocked to Paris Fashion Week was a creation by Richard Quin which in turn, inspired a new look by Africa’s number one #StyleGirl Nana Akua Addo, which she rocked in Ghana in 2019.

Although the inspiration was taking off Cardi B, in actual fact they could be totally different. Nothing shows Cardi B rocked a head mask dress. As far as her look goes, it was a jacket and possible a scarf covering her face. On the other hand, Nana Akua Addo’s top was literally a visibly attached to the head mask making it possibly a whole new creation.

Well in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, let’s just say Nana Akua Addo’s Nigerian counterparts and style influencers are picking the torch where she left it and are coming up with all sorts of alternative looks.
