See Nominees For Fashion Icon Awards 2014 – Ghana

The long awaited list of nominees is finally released today by the organizers of Fashion Icon Awards.

Nominations for the awards was official opened to general public during the official launch/industry awards night that took place at Alisa Hotel in February this year and the process lasted for seven weeks. People had the opportunity to nominate two brands for each category and also suggested two legends for ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’.

 

Three judges, made up of respected industry experts met and shortlisted the public nominations based on the brands’ activities in the year in review (January – December 2013) and came up with top five brands for each category except ‘Brand of the year’ category with six nominees.

General public will have the opportunity once again to VOTE for their top choices to be the winner of each category on FIA website (www.fashioniconsawards.com) starting from June2 – June 30, 2014.

Public vote takes 30% while judges’ decision carry 70% for the categories listed below and 100% judges’ decision on “Lifetime Achievement Award” category.

Fashion Icon Awards promises to be the biggest night in Ghana’s fashion industry, a unique and glamorous celebration to recognize and reward stakeholders in the fashion industry.

The awards will honour extraordinary design talents and business successes as well as celebrate outstanding contributions, achievements made by design entrepreneurs, artists, individuals, institutions, agencies, corporate firms and other fashion and beauty organizations/products in promotion of Ghana’s fashion industry.

A star-studded line-up is expected at the glitzy night of the grand finale scheduled to be held in August 30, 2014 in Accra.
