Sarkodie has made international tracks around the world, won countless awards, and make the biggest impact in hip hop in Ghana ever. However, The Sarkodie brand is currently taking heat from various angles of the fashion world based on their new advertising call for creatives to be part of an upcoming sarkcess project.

 

With the fashion world now finding it’s feet with money, and with the countless braggadocios lyrics of the Ghanaian super star, the rapper received a backlash from the community that they were called for creatives to be part of a “Super Star” music video whilst offering nothing in return as stated in the image below

But that wasn’t the end to the reasons the community unleashed harsh words onto the rapper. Also South Africa based model Kwen Maye who appears in the original picture took to instagram to fire at the rapper commenting below.

“@sarkodie1 you didn’t ask for my permission or contact my agency @20modelmanagement before using my picture for some cast promo.. I’m aware you don’t like when someone use ur pics without your permission___ please take it down or crop me out___ speaking for myself and don’t know about other models___ this is so wrong___ @ameyaw112 please speak to this guy to get it down____No disrespect, if you don’t accept this from anyone don’t do it to others____ #RespectMyJob I’m not looking for such publicity___ #CropMeOut”

The picture now removed from instagram indicates they took some advice from the public whatsoever. Countless of designers give clothes to celebrities, music video artists and producers for free numerous of time. The key to what the sarkcess group didn’t understand is…..You don’t make it public (in my whispiring voice). We wish them luck getting over this branding ditch.
