There are popular designers in Many African countries who their names have gone with the wind because they missed out on the social media transition stagee. There are many I know of here in Ghana alone, but one prime example is a lady by the name of Wendy l’Artisan. She has created some of the most extraordinary avant garde jewelry and a legendary figure amongst the Ghanaian fashion industry. However I can name 100s of new comers not as creative as her who are more popular because they are on social media. In a case like her, you might never ever catch her on mainstream media unless this article helps, not one look book, nor public social media profile. Her legendary work has only been exhibited on runway shows of Ghana, old news paper editorials and styling for pageants. But her like the other many I know of will never see her face on mainstream media (again unless this article helps). One can imagine the millions more in many other African countries that will be gone when fashion history in Africa is written.
