As a young kid I used to be intrigued and at the same time baffled by the proverb “Little Drops Of Water Make An Ocean”. I used to question why are drops so important if you got an ocean, etc etc. Nevertheless, that conclusion has affected everything I do even with this website. Every day counts, every article counts and so forth. As far as media goes, most designers here do not apply that thought. For example if there is TV show A with 5000 viewers and TV show B with 15000 viewers. Fashionistas will flock to B and ignore A or even show off to A. Forgetting the possibility that A might have the audience to push them to the next step or open them to other fashion media. It’s a problem that plagues not just African fashionistas but amateurs around the world and with the lack of good fashion pr companies African fashion has not surpass this stage. This makes it difficult for mainstream media to actually know who is who even when they need to. We have experienced this first hand. Most creatives might see the entertainment blog that has more views than us and place us in the A category, but don’t consider that majority of visitors in B most likely might over look their story as it doesn’t hold onto their core fans.
