Morocco, a North African country bordering the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, and stands as a melting pot of Arabian, native North African and European cultural influences. A show that has gone the mile so solidify Morocco as a fashion force not to be ignored. The hard work could only be attributed to Mrs. Zaineb Karroumi El Kadiri who was very passionate about the fabulous talents in her own country as well as that in the African continent. Mrs. Zaineb Karroumi El Kadiri The show exhibited an outstanding mix of African creatives and cultures including that Her objective for the show was to highlight the creativity of the different African countries, by bringing together the most promising talents to exhibit in Casablanca which she hopes to make the Capital of African Fashion. Zaineb definitely managed to celebrate the continent by bringing the following talents from around the world. Zaineb El Kadiri, Nazha Cherkaoui and Virginie Chevalier from Morocco, Julia Fall and Sokona Sissoko from Mali, Lionel Corea from Benin, Lucie Gomba from Cote d’Ivoire, Emmanuelle from Congo, Parfait Ikouba from Cameroon, Awa Camera from Senegal, Iracema Lepinay from Angola, Aziza Sega from Mauritania, Fidelis Nsigbe from Nigeria, KatieO Eleganza from Ghana and many more. According to the organizers, “Our desire is to bring these talents together around a unifying event, to give them the opportunity to meet professionals from the world of fashion and styling, and finally to capitalize on the experiences of each other with the ultimate objective: revealing “Made in Africa” talents and fashion to the world and making Casablanca the Capital of African fashion!” Below are some images by Elite Photography.
