On March 13, 2020, Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old African-American emergency medical technician, was fatally shot by Louisville Metro Police Department officers.

Detective Brett Hankison, and Detective Myles Cosgrove forced entry into her apartment in Louisville, Kentucky under the authority of a search warrant. Gunfire was exchanged between Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, and LMPD officers. Walker said he believed that the officers were intruders. The LMPD officers fired over twenty shots, Taylor was shot eight times

After the arrest of George Floyd’s killers, it wasn’t long before some of the renowned black celebrities started calling for justice for other slain blacks, specifically Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery.

In the past few days leading black female celebrity figures like Naomi, Beyonce, and Lupita are ensuring that justice for Breonna Taylor doesn’t get swept under the rug. All of whom baring over 1 million followers used their platform to remind and/or educate the world about the injustice inflicted upon Breonna Taylor.

Naomi Campbell who has been very vocal about injustice and even more recently, also didn’t waste time to post about Breonna Taylor once all four killers of George Floyd had been arrested.
