The grand event marked the 6th Akwasidae of 2024 and was part of the ongoing celebrations for the Asantehene’s 25th anniversary. The spectacular event was orchestrated by none other than Akosua Dentaa Amoateng MBE, widely known as Dentaa. A British Ghanaian entrepreneur and cultural powerhouse, Dentaa is celebrated for her work as an actress, TV presenter, singer, producer, and manager. Her efforts brought together the Ashanti diaspora, making this event a reality in the heart of London. It even attracted Ghanaian political heavyweights, including former President John Agyekum Kufuor and NPP Vice Presidential candidate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, who joined in the festivities. The Akwasidae Festival, held every six weeks, is a time for the Ashanti people to honor their ancestors and celebrate the unity of their kingdom.
