Share FacebookTwitterPinterestLinkedinWhatsappTelegramEmail 3.2K For many, changing the narrative of Ghanaian Nightlife is equivalent to attaining international recognition but for Ghanaian content creators, BILLISDIFFERENT is diversifying Ghanaian Nightlife, Business, and Culture. BiD for short has already been certified in showbiz with over 10k subscribers in 3 months. His 2022 was characterized by ambition and success. From getting featured on Burna Boy’s official news platform and other international platforms, it’s clear the reason why he chose the alias on Bi Different on social media. BID consistently provided great live updates of events such as Tidal Rave, Afrofuture, and high-level parties at locations such as Kruna the Club, Front/Back, Moodbar, Twist, Rave Accra, etc. As most adjust to 2023 and struggle to keep up with resolutions, FashionGHANA.com sits down with BILLISDIFFERENT as he breaks down his work ethic and being the forerunner of upcoming projects with Dj’s, MCs, Event organizers, and other important personalities in the Nightlife, Event, and Entertainment Industry. Bill was even more than ready to show his insights to differentiate his page from fake blog stats. His motivational quote is “For the Narrative to be changed, boundaries have to be Different from the normal”1In a few words introduce yourself and what you do.My name is Willard Bill an Event Organizer, Stylist, Content Creator, and Digital Marketer. How did you get into the media space? I ventured into Events in late 2018 after establishing an event house ‘Christmas Events Gh’ with my brother ‘Kenneth Christmas Lomotey’. Its focuses on Ensuring Unique Concepts & Interactive events. We have been gaining recognition in the event industry, until well noticed for our first vlog and live updates at Tidal Rave which happened on 13th October 2022, because of the great captions which relate to the videos and ongoing events. What motivated you to start Vlogging aside from the events? I realized anytime we have an event and I book bloggers, they only take raw videos and post. Even though that is what I paid them for, I always feel it’s not enough for the culture, because the public won’t feel they are part of the event where ever they watching the event. Also, the live updates come with videos, captions, and polls with engage the online audience not present at the event. So I decided to be a content creator and the 13th of October 2022 was the first day I posted my first vlog. 2After a dominant 2022 in the media, what are your targets for 2023?Three months after I started the live updates and nightlife vlogging, I will say I am amazed and honored to be noticed and appreciated by the community. A lot of people have congratulated me and my team for this great initiative. We have been featured on international platforms, also our profile has been recognized by international personalities and organizations. Hoping for greater engagement, travels, and collaboration with media space, concerts, festivals, and nightlife parties internationally. 3Mentorship is almost essential to ensure the craft goes beyond and lasts for years to come. Do you have any mentors?Currently yes I have a few mentors I look to, to learn, grow and be more productive. When it comes to the event side I really admire Culture Curations, the Afrofuture team with how they organized their events, the Garage bar with their setup, and other influencers like So African and BlacVolta. I feel the internet and social media platforms of most media houses mentor me as well because I learn a lot from the internet, event Djs and Mcs, Location Managers, and attendees.4What Are Your Insights Like? 5Ok, So For those not so familiar with Nightlife In Accra, bless us with your top 5 luxurious spots Five nightlife locations I will recommend to the public as luxurious and lit for clubbing will be Kruna, Twist, Play Ghana, Rave Accra, and Ace Tantra. My reasons for this selection are that this location is always lit and turns up even on regular days without a major event. These nightclubs have hosted international celebrities and run active the city weekly without no dullness. Their bottle activities are also lit and I like the way their bottles ladies look sexy. I would have added Lavo Ghana to the list for the luxury part. The club is very golden and classy. Even tho I haven’t witnessed their parties yet. 6Before You Go, Kindly let us know what is next in the Pipeline for BiD?BiD is looking forward to working with top events locally and internationally to promote Live updates and content creation. An example is the Grammy Awards which just happened. Some of my followers asked if I will be able to get them updates even though I wasn’t not there. I did my best to get a few and had a media friend in the USA sending me videos for live updates of events there. Also, GUBA organized an African Grammy Nominees brunch which we only got recap videos and pictures after the event was over. People want live updates to feel part of the event. When it’s over they lose interest to engage. So I’m working on building the BiD brand to let the world feel part of every event and experience the best of live performances. Well, that was very insightful. We will definitely be following you as always and forever recommend your page. Keep it up.Read More Like This OnGhana Celebrity Watch UPCOMING PRIORITY EVENTS!
