See Many Couples Who Broke The ‘Traditional White Wedding’ Rule As They Express Their Love In ‘All Black’ Attire

Getting married in black seems to be coming more and more appealing for couples around the world with hints being sprinkled here and there on the African continent. As we continue to battle over the relevance of white weddings paired with traditional weddings, some are even jumping the gun and leaping to black weddings.

On 8th March, Nigerian lifestyle, fashion, and wedding photography studio, ‘The Art of Ed’ studios decided to depict to the world what an ‘All Black’ attire wedding would look like in a fabulous editorial featuring a black bridal outfit by Women’s wear clothing brand, House of Nadi founded by Nadi Shuaib.

Although that was an editorial, the appreciation of the black wedding gown was through the roof. And with the growth of black-attire weddings around the world would there be a chance to see more of this in Africa? Usually when one thinks of black weddings, what comes to mind are marital ceremonies executed by goths, Satanists, and practitioners of BDSM.

However, this is far from the majority of black weddings. 100s of couples get married every year in black wedding attire and have absolutely nothing to do with the aforementioned. It seems the notion to break the norm is very common amongst many in this world and having an ‘All Black’ attire wedding can make your special day as an alternative period in history.

Sometimes defying culture that is heavily embraced by many can actually feel like defying reality, but once you do, you learn it is just a figment of your imagination you open yourself to a whole new reality. See couple who decided to prove this to the world.
