Bri Wireduah is an eclectic fashion designer and brand hailing from Accra. She has been a soldier at the forefront of pushing the agenda of acceptance in the field of disability in the Ghanaian fashion industry. The brand has worked with all sorts of models from Albinos, amputees, vitiligo, alopecia, and more. And during the journey, her push for celebrating diversity has only grown stronger.
Last year the designer came out to prove her disability didn’t equate to her inability in a long penned online letter to her fans breaking down her day-to-day struggles as an amputee as seen in the post below.
The fashion creative hasn’t limited her journey to sympathy and sorrow but has continued to win award after award ever since entering into the public hemisphere of fashion designing. Ever since scooping women’s designer of the year at FashionGHANA Honors & Awards 2018, she has kept the ball rolling to the most recent award Excellence In Entreprenuerialship GDEA 21.
Her latest collection ‘Eden’s Backyard’ is a public celebration of the diversity of all sorts. From the ability to race to height to gender and size. The look book features unisex clothes, petite models, white, male, and females.
According to the Designer
We’re particularly excited about this shot because we had an autistic model on board! We’re honoured to have Nana Yaa pose for us in one of our silk dresses, paired with a leather corset! She and @mystique_eza make quite the striking pair! Autism and plus size coming together to create the perfect chemistry! Beauty comes in all forms, shapes and sizes! Diversity is in style!
Our resort 22 collection is available in a wide range of colours and prints. Dm or WhatsApp to pre order!
The design aesthetics of the collection speaks to the eccentric and trendy yet sophisticated personality within us all. It seems monochrome patterns mixed with vigorous flamboyant colors are not only applicable to ladies with curves but any and everyone that aims to make a stylish moment in their day-to-day lives.
If you are looking to make a strong fashion statement of supporting diversity, look no further than the outfits below.
