We now have our first queen of 2019, Congratulations to Dandira Veiga of Cape Verde, on winning Miss West Africa International 2019 title in Banjul, Gambia! She is the first Cape Verdean since 2011 to win the pageant, & beat 14 other young ladies from across the region for the crown. Gambia and Nigeria came in 1st runner up and 2nd runner up respectively in the event.

BIO: A pageant veteran, Dandira previously served as Miss Uni Africa Cape Verde 2018. She is also a former Miss Praia (Praia is the capital city of Cape Verde), & was 1st runner up in the Miss Cape Verde 2016 pageant. Dandira has a background in fashion design in Portugal & Brazil, & hopes to one day open her own design studio in Cape Verde. See her images below.
