Chidimma Adetshina went live on Silverbird Today TV following her recent victory as Miss Universe Nigeria 2024. Despite the celebration, Chidimma has faced a wave of hostility in South Africa, with questions about her nationality surfacing prior to her being crowned Miss Universe Nigeria.

At just 23 years old, Adetshina triumphed at the pageant held in Lagos on Saturday night, securing the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe competition in Mexico this November. Her journey, however, has been far from smooth. Last month, she withdrew from the Miss South Africa contest after becoming the target of xenophobic online attacks. Shortly after, she accepted an invitation to compete in the Nigerian pageant.
