CNN Called Out For Racism After Cropping Out Olivia Yace From Miss World ‘Ukraine-Russia War’ Peace Call

Fake news CNN is facing heavy backlash from Africa after purposely cropping out Miss World’s 2021 runners-up from a recent article that reads into the Miss World’s winners’ call for peace in Ukraine.

The Miss World organization is already under heat for allegedly fixing the competition for Poland. However, as there is no substantial proof in regards to this it remains to hear say. On the other hand, the recent move by CNN may indicate keeping the beautiful Olivia Yace out of the picture might be in play.

The new channel which saw a massive drop in readership and now commonly known as fake news CNN due to their defense of what some believed to be a rigged US election, decided to publicize an article with the headline ‘Miss World crowned Amid Calls For Peace In Ukraine’.

However, the featured image specifically included Poland’s Karoline Bielawska who scooped the Miss World 2021 title, and USA’s Shree Saini as the first runners-up, but excluded 2nd runners-up Olivia Yace.

Africa lashed at both the Miss World organization and CNN for racism. Some believe the exclusion of Olivia Yace by the ‘once very popular’ crumbling news company was intentional. Sandy Yenkong, founder of Dynamic Sisters organization published on her timeline “CNN this is #discriminatory and #racist, there were three winners for this event, how could you crop the third winner who is a black from this picture? Are you trying to say her voice doesn’t count for the crisis in @Ukraine? The world has to see this. This calls for concern how you view and appreciate your African audience.” Over 3000 comments participated in tearing CNN a new behind. Read here!

A Jean-Patrick Ehouman stated “This is not fair to Yacé Olivia Miss Côte d’Ivoire 2021. Why will you use a cropped picture (or use a picture) with only 2 of the top3. I’m sure you guys have so many of them that could give same exposure to the 3 of them.”

Just a few amongst many. The sooner Africa decided to begin boycotting these competitions the better it will be for our blood pressure. Fake news CNN has now changed the image to include the beautiful Miss Cote d’Ivoire, Olivia Yace as seen below.
