Nigerian-American Afrobeats artist Davido launches a collaboration with sportswear brand PUMA. The collection launch comes just seven days after the March 31 release of Davido’s new album ‘Timeless.’

The collaboration features a tracksuit, matching t-shirts, and two hats. Meant to resemble the colors of the Nigerian flag, the colors sported by the collection are a melange of aquamarine and white.

Rooted in the designs are David’s own ideologies. Taking inspiration from his father’s work as a philanthropist, the quote “We rise by lifting others” stamp the garments among a grid of checks, stripes, chevrons, and the PUMA logo. This pattern is present within a tracksuit and a matching t-shirt and cap. Meanwhile, The PUMA x DAVIDO Graphic Tee has the quote printed on the back, for an even bigger statement. Then, there’s the reversible bucket hat, which boasts either of the designs when flipped. Both hats featured contain at least 20 percent recycled fibers.

In regard to his philosophy of supporting others, Davido states, “…as I grow, I want other people to grow with me.” As noted on the collection page of PUMA’s site, wider audiences as well as Davido fans have the opportunity to take on modern shapes while simultaneously encouraging others.
