Dutch Auctions are not new to the world of cryptocurrency, and their applications go beyond NFT launches. In 2017, the cryptocurrency firm Gnosis announced its intention to establish a decentralized exchange for ERC-20 token issuances that would operate on the principles of Dutch Auctions. Although Gnosis eventually withdrew from dxDAO, the exchange platform remains operational today.
