From August 22 to 24, with the objective of bringing together great African designers and stakeholders from 15 countries in the sub region : Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissa, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Togo. The aim of the fashion week was to revive the African culture through fashion, promote the dignities of African woman, to encourage indigenous fashion designers, to redefine fashion by showcasing other fashion accessories etc. The fashion week awarded and recognized designers and stakeholders who have contributed immensely in the area of fashion and most outstanding designers in categories like lifetime achievement Award and ECOWAS young designer of the year. The annual fashion week seek to offer a healthy competition among upcoming young designers in the sub region to put originality in their work. ECOWAS Fashion Week will help place the African map globally, thereby attracting mainstream investors in the region.
