Ethiopia: Designer Ruald Rheeder to Make Hub of Africa Fashion Week 2014 Debut

Known as one of Africa’s most glamourous fashion gatherings, Hub of Africa Fashion Week is planning to set the international fashion industry a buzz in October 2014, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – the diplomatic capital of the continent. With the recent website re-launch of Hub of Africa Fashion Week, the team behind the premier event is certainly introducing a relatively new concept for fashion weeks in Africa – an Editorial Edition.

Aside from a curated selection of African fashion designers, the Hub of Africa Fashion Week 2014 – Editorial Edition will see international Editors from various trend-setting media mediums and Buyers placed in the forefront.

South African designer Ruald Rheeder heads to Ethiopia. Hub of Africa Fashion Week 2014 – the Editorial Edition recently confirmed the participation of South African designer Ruald Rheeder.

Ruald Rheeder is most known for his menswear collections that have been housed in various boutiques, clothing outlets and more importantly, the Young Designers Emporium.

The RUALD RHEEDER® label has gained tremendous success and popularity and has become one of the best selling men’s labels in YDE earning him “Best New Designer” Award when the line launched and more recently “The most consistently excellent performing designer” award at the 2012 YDE awards.

In 2013 the RUALD RHEEDER® brand has come full circle with officially launching the ladieswear collection in YDE stores coutrywide in South Africa.
