Hamamat Montia Raises Awareness on Ghana’s Illegal Mining Crisis in New Video
Ghanaian beauty and entrepreneur, Hamamat Montia, has taken to social media to speak out about the devastating effects of illegal mining, commonly referred to as “Galamsey,” in her home country. In a powerful video, Montia breaks down the extensive damage caused by these illegal activities, emphasizing the impact on Ghana’s environment, water bodies, and the livelihoods of local communities.
In the video, the former Miss Malaika beauty queen, known for her advocacy of African culture and natural beauty, highlighted how Galamsey has polluted rivers, destroyed farmland, and led to the displacement of countless rural families. She called for stronger actions from the government and citizens to address the issue, urging Ghanaians to come together to protect the country’s natural resources for future generations.
There is much evidence that supports both members of Ghana’s ruling party are involved in Galamsey, which is contributing to the health destruction of Ghana hence why the government hasn’t done anything about it. In fact criminals are coming from all over Africa to participate in the act.
Montia’s call to action has resonated widely with her audience, drawing attention to the need for sustainable solutions to stop illegal mining and restore the environment. Through her platform, she continues to push for environmental awareness and change in Ghana. Watch her video below to get an understanding of what the Nana Akufo-Addo’s government is complicit with in our country.
