The Assin North MP said President of Ghana, John Mahama does not dress well lately, compared to when he was a Member of Parliament. According to him, the President used to dress “gorgeously” when he was an MP but appears to have lost his fashion sense since he assumed the Presidency. “He is a nice guy, very nice guy (Mahama). I admired him when he was in Parliament; he dressed to kill. “So I asked him: Mr President these days you don’t dress well and he said; ‘Ken this job you can’t go and dress everyday like that,’” the Assin North MP told Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday. Which means PR is probably not in the sector of our government. This is not the first time an individual has attacked the fashion sense of the President. When he became Vice President in 2008, some Ghanaians raised concerns with the casual nature of fashion choice during public appearances. A few jokes have circulated that it may be due to the powercut issues that he has been dressing in the dark. Designer Felix Anaman said his appearance had implications for his office. “If you wear a complete suit, then you need a tie to match with it,” he stated. Maybe if it is becoming that obvious, the president might need to consult us.
