Fashion for a Brighter Future will be bringing the who’s who of South African fashion, socialites, political dignitaries and designers together in support and celebration of the Goodbye Malaria initiative. Fashion for a Brighter Future is an event that is coordinated by Ergos, an establishment dedicated to supporting social development organisations and programmes. Pretoria native Nadine Rynners founded Ergos with the intention of using her extensive network of contacts in business to support charities that enhance the quality of life for many South Africans. She co-directs the organisation with Edwin Mendoza, a former international fashion model and founder of VYA Productions. Goodbye Malaria is an initiative by African entrepreneurs who believe that African creativity can solve Africa’s problems. The initiative raises funds that go to the Global Fund and Roll Back Malaria to support on-the-ground malaria elimination programs in Mozambique such as spraying houses to protect families from the malaria-infected mosquitos. This is an epidemic that we must fight together in order to save the future of our continent.” Designers such as Kluk CGDT, C2 Carducci, Stefania Morland, Loin Cloth & Ashes by Anisa Mpungwe and Craig Port will be showcasing their latest collections.
