Kenya’s Fashion Festival FAFA Gets 1.6 Million From Safaricom

telecommunication provider Safaricom Limited has sponsored the Festival for Africa Fashion and Arts (FAFA) fashion gala dinner at a cost of KShs1.6million.

Announcing the sponsorship, Safaricom Head of PR and Corporate Communications Elizabeth Yoga said, “We believe that this show of top Kenyan fashion brands together with regional or pan-African guest designers provides a springboard for development of the rich art and culture as well as an opportunity to sample our different African culture through Fashion”.

Ms Yoga added, “It is important to note that fashion shows of this nature have in the past brought new and exciting concepts into the fashion market becoming important players in the local fashion scene and also making their mark internationally”.

Fashion industry in Kenya has become a magnet for designers and buyers to get together for business, market intelligence and inspiration.

Yoga further said, “Safaricom believes arts and culture act as a step in promoting peace as a beacon of hope for our youth and at the same time portraying Kenya as a vibrant destination for both business and leisure.”

FAFA will be taking place from 6pm on Sat 31st May at the panoramic rooftop of a fabulous piece of modern architecture, The Oval on Ring Rd Parklands.
