If one doesn’t know about Lauren Haute Couture, then you are fairly removed from the current African fashion industry as a whole. The Lauren haute couture brand, founded by Lauren Ama Bartels is Ghana’s award-winning best red carpet designer for 2021.

The brand that scooped the title at the just ended FashionGHANA Honors & Awards 2021 has been in the circuit for some time consistently serving some of the nation’s top female diplomats and celebrities. Lauren has made a name for herself producing couture garments, but every now and then teases her followers with jaw-dropping ready-to-wear pieces on her gram on mannequins.

But running the female segment of the fashion industry was not the end-all for the young revolutionary designer, now she’s coming for the men also. Most female-orientated brands that cross over to unisex usually execute the process slowly. They might share one or two outfits they made by a client here and there.
