Samuel Kumi, a former bread hawker turned professional photographer has become an inspiration to many following his recent admirable feat.

The young Ghanaian creative used to risk his life on major roads hawking A1 bread. He made up his mind that this was not the life for him and decided to work on his aspirations which was photography. He took it as a new profession providing the best service to the best of his ability. Even at times doing more than his gains and has since made remarkable gains.

Samuel Kumi is the founder of Ace Photography and the personal photographer of Ghanaian top female musician Wendy Shay. He has 6 people employed under his photography team who he trains and pays consistently.

Kumi recently received recognition for his works as the Best Photographer Of The Year 2019 at the just-ended Young Entertainer Awards 2019.

Reacting to the award, Kumi took to his Instagram handle to express appreciation for the support.

”This My Second Time Winning Best Photographer Of The Year…at The Youth Excellence Awards….And I wanna use this opportunity to thank all humble souls who have been supportive since day one as I started this journey,” I remember how my friends were like oooooo He’s doing dz because of ladies ( But I was very Determined and I thank all souls behind mhe and the brand Ace Photography ).”

However receiving the award is not even the tip of the iceburg for the young enterpreneur, he is has also the official event photographer for Accra Fashion Week and for various events organised by the Ghanaian parliment. This is a pure story of believing in yourself.
