Saucy, Raunchy and Saulty! These are the best words to describe Efya’s new song ‘The ONE’ featuring Tiwa Savage. The song that carries the beautiful 80s RnB and ragga vibes splashed on the scene not to long ago.

Just to serve a little introduction, Jane Awindor, better known by her stage name Efya, is a Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and actress from Kumasi. She is the daughter of Nana Adwoa Awindor, a filmmaker and celebrity host of the late television show Greetings From Abroad.

And Tiwa Savage is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress. Born in Isale Eko, she relocated to London at the age of 11 for her secondary education. Five years later, she began her music career doing backup vocals for artists such as George Michael and Mary J. Blige, the rest after that is history.

So when we hear two such musical giants in the African musical industry coming to gether, we expected ‘Beyonce vs Lady Gaga’ energy type music. Instead they twisted our expectations and gave us something even greater. A melow love song for the rare groove lovers. A term only the brits will understand.

The video sees the two of them in very sassy outfits expressing their love for ‘The ONE’. Unfortunately no male model played the role of ‘the one’ however that better emphasizes that it could be you.
