Nigeria: Okunoren Twins Presents SS15 Collection

The fashion lable was established in 2002 and has since then become a force to reckon with in the Nigerian fashion industry. Okunoren Twins has a huge reputation for crafting custom made and Afrocentric Designs, with the SS15 collection unveiled, it’ll go a long way to complement it’s status as a luxury brand. The menswear brand considerably paid close attention to detail, in this regard the collection embodied silk, cotton, etu, and aso oke.

 
“The label adopted a laid back-meets-home grown aesthetic for it’s latest offering inspired by the designers’ Yoruba heritage”. Okunoren Twins is well known for it’s craftmanship and attention to detail. The “aso oke and etu fabrics were incorporated flawlessly into sleeves and panels while the label’s iconic rope design was incorporated into embroidery and accessories”.

During the GTB Lagos Fashion & Design Week, this collection was dedicated to the late Nigerian icon, Remi Lagos. The pieces are nicely designed and can be purchased in real terms.
