The highly anticipated Nigerian Student Fashion and Design Week has come and gone but the memories of the two days fashion week will not be forgotten anytime soon.

NSFDW was the first major student fashion week in Nigeria organised by BlackNBold Fashion House, Africa Fashion Week London and Mahogany International. With 25 student and non student designers showcasing their various collections.

The event was supported by Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN), One Stop Celebrations Fashion Institute, Zmirage Nigeria Limited

 

On Day 1 Friday June 7, Exhibition commensed at 12pm
While the runway show started around 8pm and ended at 10pm. Dupsy of Unilag FM was the host for the night while Yemi Obamedo of Spice Tv was the red carpet compere.

On Day 2 Saturday Show June 8,Exhibition commensed same time while the first Runway Show started at 5.30pm and ended at 7.00pm while the Gala show started at 8pm and ended at 10pm. Larry Foreman of Unilag FM was the host for the night. It was a night of Fashion like never before, the turn up was very impressive and the audience had a great time.
In an interview with Abiola Orimolade, the CEO of Nigerian Student Fashion and Design Week and the CEO of BlackNBold Fashion House, he said the event will be yearly and Nigerian student designers now have a unique platform to showcase what they do to a global audience.

 

The BEST Designer Ayotunde Okubanjo will be showcasing for FREE at Africa Fashion Week London and was also presented with a brand new sewing machine from FADAN (Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria, While the Second Overall best designer, Adebimpe Adebambo will be showcasing for FREE at Fashions Finest London Fashion Week Show and the Best Male Designer , Klaus Uche Ume & Steven of Kuume collection will showcase for FREE at Just Fashion Uk/Mister Africa International.
