Sheryl Lee Ralph OJ is an American actress and singer. She made her screen debut in the 1977 comedy film A Piece of the Action, before landing the role of Deena Jones in the Broadway musical Dreamgirls, for which she received a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical nomination.

So it is undoubtedly that she won’t be present at the just-ended NAACP Image awards 2023 which took place this Saturday. The Emmy Award-winning actress and Abbott Elementary star graced the annual event in a kente-styled dress.

She wore a custom-made gown by the renowned Ghanaian fashion house, Pitis GH. The gown is made from a bright orange kente print with ruffle sleeves, a bead-encrusted bodice, and a kente print skirt with added brown detailing at the train and a mermaid-style silhouette.

Beyond proud of her outfit, she took to Twitter to share her admiration and gratitude to the creative designer for bringing to life her gorgeous look.
