WEIG is an organization that offers seed investment to women-owned and Ghana-based Small and Medium businesses. Adeline Akufo-Addo Kufuor The president’s daughter Adeline, through WEIG, makes capital investments of between $200,000 and $2 million in women-focused greenfield and brownfield businesses/business opportunities in Africa’s “KINGS” economies namely Kenya, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Ghana, and Senegal of which Ghana is its launch and primary focus country. There is no telling if this might be the cause to the move of the store but two years rental surely will not be part of any retailers plan. The store took to social media to announce their relocation today 16th of August 2021, stating…“We can’t believe the time is finally here to make this announcement but….#TheLotteAccra will be MOVING!!” The Lotte Accra Relocates They further announced the store will be launched at a new location next month. Knowing the cost of rent in Airport city, there is no doubt it should be able to cater for a much larger venue which might mean more room for more brands. However, on another note, they also announced in the post “we will be hosting a 60%-80% off Everything-Must-Go #sale Thursday, August 26, 2021 – Saturday, August 28, 2021.”.
