Trend Alert – Denim, Chambray, Denim-on-Denim And Dungarees

Have you checked your denim style lately? Seasons, collections and trends fade but there’s something  about the effortless  style of jeans we will never get tired of. Now breaking into the trends is the chambray (which is lighter),the dungaree and the white denims. The distress denims are the toppings on the denim cheesecake, they give off casual vibes and are eye-catching.

White denims gives a clean and crisp feel to an outfit . A white boyfriend jean is more form-fitting and sleek and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

Dungarees or Overall are a must have this season because they are totally trending and have wide range of cut,length and styles to choose from. Dungarees are  perfect for every body type. Grey jeans are my go to source when I want a more casual and laid back look for the day.

Every woman must atleast try a denim-on-denim trend once in her life time.  Even tho this trend  is not  easy to ensemble, having a good  know-how idea might help. Denims can be paired in same colour tones or with the opposite color (eg blue-on-white or blue-on-blue)

Denim or chambray jackets can be used to spice up a neutral outfit,  bringing out the contrast in the outfit.  Opt for either black,light blue or deep blue blazers to give the outfit  a pop of color.

Go for a monochromatic look with your white jeans, it will give you that classy and clean appearance. For a super casual  jean look, go for  blue tones of denim blazer/shirts or a checkable shirt  to give your laid back white jeans style a chic uplift. Sneakers, pumps, strappy heels go well with white jeans.

To master a denim-on-denim look, opt for colour tones that are slightly different, dark and light tones of blue,washed tones of blue or equal color tones of blue with embellishments on one of the pieces. Pair outfits with statement color accessories, bags/clutches and heels to prevent your face looking pale with the blue tones. Camel, brown, and green tones work best with washed looking blue denims.

There’s nothing like a dull way to style Dungarees, they practically go well with most shirts like t-shirts, crop tops, bralettes,over-sized shirts etc. You can dress it up with some gorgeous pumps or strap sandals for an outing or dress it down with some sandals or sneakers for a super casual look.

Denim skirts are simply chic, whether they are short or long they just bring out the daring lady in you. You can do a denim-on-denim look with a short or mid-length skirt,extra care should be taken if one wants to use a long skirt, you don’t want to end up looking like a bag of denim on a shelf. Long skirt denim goes well with crop tops or tack in style tops.

You can a fake a denim on denim look by wearing a blazer that matches perfectly with the color of your jeans. This outfit can be Friday work appropriate depending on where you work. Asi matching a blue and white stripped blazer here is a perfect way to fake a denim on denim look.
