Gambia Fashion Night 2013 was definitely a hit. Beautiful crowd, live hosting and great modern and cultural performances. But as you know FashionGHANA.com was specifically there for the fashion and that’s exactly what we got.

The vice president of the Republic and Women’s Affairs minister, Her Excellency Aja Dr. Isatou Njie-Saidy, was the chief guest among hundreds of diverse spectators that converged to watch the spectacular fashion displays showcased on the runway during the second edition of the glamorous 2013 Gambia Fashion Night, staged in the gardens of the Kairaba Beach Hotel.

 

The initiative, according to organisers and some movers and shakers in the industry, is well in line with the objective of promoting Destination Gambia, showcase its culture and attract media attention.

Initiated by Rebecca Riley-Bensouda and Joachim Zielesch, the show that is gradually going international attracted huge media presence. Top-notch international designer moguls like Agatha Ruiz De La Prada from Spain; Adama Paris of Paris and Fillip Roth in Poland were all in attendance.

The show was further enlivened with entertainment by musicians like Manding Morry, T-Smalz, Jali Madi, Slam G and guest artiste Dawda Jatta a.k.a David Jay, a Danish-born Gambian.
