Imagine your house is burning down, maybe even there might be children stuck at the top floor like almost each and everyone of us have witnessed in the American movies. If the fire is out of control the innitial reaction is to call the fire service.

And in anycase imagine the relief you will be in knowing that the fire service is literally one minute walk away from the burning building. However, they take quite a while to come, and when they arrive they don’t have water in their tanks to put out any fire.

This was the reality of the recent burnings and fire in Ghana’s most popular trade market, Makola market this past weekend. This is the shambles the current president Nana Akufo-Addo has left the country in. Read about the burning market below.
