The interview began with Bonang talking about her business aesthetic, proving that she is more than just a fancy dress wearer. She began talking about her new app which hosts over 700,000 visitors. At which they pay roughly $4 monthly. She discussed her new film, her role as a Global Citizen ambassador and her new mansion. She discussed how there is very little money around being in entertainment but one can work their way up to getting more money by engaging in a number of things at the same time. She discussed racism between South Africans and African American when Charlamagne raised the question of whether “South African’s look down on African Americans”. But that wasn’t the only area of racism she touched on, she also expanded on the racism between blacks and whites, and the financial disparity and the rise of the black middle class in Johannesburg. When it came to relationships she revealed she wears a ring on her wedding finger to keep guys away from her, and also revealed her love for tall dark men. Not sure if this was her taste when she dated light skinned brother AKA, however being that it was her last popular relationship, that might leave a ringing bell in people’s minds if the South African media grabs onto it.
