Black Is King is a 2020 American musical film and visual album directed, written, and executive produced by American singer-songwriter Beyoncé. The film serves as a visual companion to the 2019 album The Lion King: The Gift, a tie-in album curated by Beyoncé for the 2019 remake of The Lion King.

Beyonce presented to the world a fashion fabulous project that gave a gateway to many African musicians and designers a spotlight in her world of popularity. The positive representation was Beyond jaw-dropping. Something we saw birthed after her video Formation.

The excitement was so much a video of a young American lady is spotted crying because such representation of her own self has never been projected to her very own eyes.
