As we embark on a new journey to the next Black Panther movie that will benefit Marvel Studios with extreme cash off of African culture, fashion and more, Lupita Nyongo took to instagram to publish a new Black Panther 2; Wakanda Forever trailer that reveals a female successor to T’Challa.
The latest trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever doesn’t say explicitly, although it does unveils that it’s Shuri (Letitia Wright), the sister of T’Challa, the previous Black Panther (played by the late Chadwick Boseman). As indicated on the image above with was posted as the cover image for Lupita Nyongo’s new trailer post. Watch below.
This is not surprising to as, in the new age where TV works to put women at the forefront of heroism and undo gender roles, it was very well expected to see a female take on the lead role of the Black Panther movie. More over, Shuri does so in the comics, and we predicted this in the article below.
Black Panther 2 Plans Revealed Following Chadwick Boseman’s Death
Besides the first look at the new Black Panther costume, this trailer also gives us more info on the conflict between Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and the surface world, and how Wakanda fits into all of the drama.
It also shows off a few brief shots of Ironheart in action; that character will then spin off into her own Disney+ series down the line.
