Share FacebookTwitterPinterestLinkedinWhatsappTelegramEmail 321 My first visit to the Chale Wote Street Festival and one can describe it as fun, enjoyable, and definitely something to participate in. The Chale Wote (a Ghanaian term for flip flops) also reached out this year to much of Ghana’s blogging community and fashion world. A light of style, talent and joy, shone on a raw and gritty city James Town. Not so different from a carnival feel, there were many visitors for various reasons, plus the lovely children of James Town city who were more than glad their city was well acknowledged. FashionGHANA.com decided to give you a visual feel of the Chale Wote Festival 2013. This video captures the street style trending amongst the day to day Ghanaians despite that you may see on and off the runways and look books. If you are reading this early Sunday 8th September 2013, and you are based in Ghana, please be aware you can still attend as this is a two day event. Unfortunately we won’t be present, but like all double day events, the second is always much more amazing, so if you like what you see, get your Chale Wotes together and head off to James Town.
