Project Nightfall has been a highly educational platform on social media. The visual social media brand and space has released over 1,300 videos, educating the world on everything from inventions, social norms around the world, charitable realities, political contradictions, race relations, and much more.

The channel is headed by Polish broadcaster Agon Hare, and by now, there is no denying that almost everyone around the world has most likely heard his voice. In a video released two months ago, Agon highlighted how mainstream media, particularly Western media, has shown clear favoritism towards lighter-skinned Black women.

The video exposes how nearly every mainstream Hollywood celebrity has undergone some form of skin-lightening, whether through bleaching or simple visual presentation.

The lives of the rich and famous are filled with controversies, ranging from pedophilia, killings over business, politically aligned celebrities & projects, to horrific cultism, and much more. So, one should never doubt the possibility of a skin-lightening culture being embedded within the Hollywood segment.

The attempt to devalue the admiration of Black beauty is undeniable. We specifically use the word devalue because, once framed that way, it reverts to the economic relationship of Black beauty. To stay on topic, imagine if Black women were the most admired globally today. This would lead to more movie roles over non-Blacks, more modeling roles, more commercial roles, more pornography & escort roles, more presenter roles, and even other roles where beauty isn’t the main factor but is related, such as hostesses or office work.

The notion that devaluing Blackness on the main stage is merely the result of some jealous European agenda goes far beyond that. It is an organized economic weapon.

The battle to change the narrative of black admiration belongs to African people and not in the space of begging for European appreciation. It is a narrative that has to be set by employers of beauty in our own communities. This extends to movie producers, designers, advertisers and more, as well as the everyday citizen to do their due diligence by promotion dark skinned beauties that work in the space of entertainment and have not been subjected to sleeping with white men nor degrading their people for their success.
