Visa Rejection Recently, news broke that Ghana’s representative, Winifred Esi-Sam will not be able to participate in the Miss Aura International 2022. According to Miss Grand Ghana, Winifred Esi-Sam had issues with her visa application and will not represent Ghana at this year’s Miss Aura International 2022. The organization took to Instagram to publish the following statement below. The event will start on September 11th-26th, 2022. Winifred however is not the first Ghanaian representative to be disrespected by Turkey. Last year representative and selected Miss Aura Ghana was also rejected by the country when she applied for a visa to participate in Miss Aura International. GHANA DESERVES BETTER Organizers whom align with the international pageant will need to properly liaise with Miss Aura International to ensure there is a safe passage of representation for the selected nations as opposed to the visa exploitation and embarrassment young aspiring applicants are going through. For an international pageant that serves no cash prize or nation hosting, this is a severe blow to its participants. Winifred Esi-Sam is also not the first Ghanaian representative to have her visa rejected. Ghana’s 2021 rep was also rejected by Turkey by visa from participating in the Miss Aura International competition. Miss Aura International is an annual global beauty pageant held in Turkey that promotes.. The pageant was established in 2006 in Antalya, Turkey as Miss Kemer International. In 2019, in the contest’s 12th edition, the organizer changed and used the name of Miss Aura International. Around more than 30 girls from around the world participated every year.
