Zimbabwe Fashion Week is arguably the most significant industry event in Zimbabwe and in recent years has become the most important and influential of Zimbabwe‟s fashion, style and textile cultural events, making it a “must attend” on Zimbabwe‟s corporate -social calendar.

Despite having faced a series of challenges, ZFW has endeavored and grown strength to strength since its inception in 2009. This year we usher in the 5th Edition of what has been acknowledged as the fourth best Fashion week in Africa with much pizzazz and we are confident that this year ZFW will surpass the previous successes and raise Zimbabwe‟s flag further.

 
Inspired by AFRICA-the motherland, and the AFROCENTRIC spirit exuded regarding African or black culture as preeminent, the theme for ZFW2014 is “ AFROCENTRICA”.

Zimbabwe Fashion Week was founded by Zimbabwean international supermodel, Priscilla Chigariro-Gessenin 2009. Priscilla created a platform for Zimbabwean and regional designers to showcase their work, and equally too, to boost the rekindling of what was once a thriving textile and fashion industry riveting out of Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe Fashion Week 2014 will run from Thursday, 25th of September to Sunday, 28th of September 2014. ZFW 2014 will be the biggest fashion, entertainment and social event in Zimbabwe during the second half of 2014. It will provide unique networking exposure and business experience to all the stakeholders that will be participating in the Fashion Week be they sponsors, partners, delegates, designers, exhibitors, models, investors or audience.

Zimbabwe Fashion Week – Our Vision, Our Mission, Our Values;
•To create a world class fashion event which will be on par with international shows of a similar rapport, i.e.
Africa Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz JoburgFashion Week, Sanlam SA Fashion Week, etc.
•Boost and commercialise the Zimbabwe fashion industry.
•Propagate the idea of fashion in Zimbabwe and amongst Zimbabweans locally and internationally.
•Attract national and international press coverage.
•Create / provide avenues for growth within the industry.
•Create platform for growth for young designers young individuals interested in fashion design, and give them
opportunity and avenues for growth, through our “Young Designers Competition”.
•Promote Arts, Culture, Tourism sectors in the country.
•Help to put Zimbabwe back on the regional, continental and international fashion map.
